Who we are

This website, cvdistributions.com, is operated by Rudeway Transport LLC, doing business as CV Distributions ("we", "us"), located at 14512 Livingston Rd, Accokeek, MD 20607. You can reach us at info@cvdistributions.com or (240) 355-0243.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a quote request, contact form or driver/carrier application, we collect what you enter: name, company, phone number, email address, pickup and delivery locations, shipment details, and any notes you include. Driver and carrier applications may also include experience, equipment and authority numbers.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, for security and troubleshooting. We do not currently run analytics or advertising trackers on this site. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy.

Cookies. This site does not set cookies of its own. Embedded third-party content described below may set its own cookies.

How we use information

• To respond to your quote request or message and to provide the services you ask about
• To prepare rate confirmations, bills of lading, and other shipping documents when you become a customer
• To evaluate driver and carrier applications
• To operate, secure and improve the website
• To comply with legal obligations, including transportation and safety regulations

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Third-party services

The site uses a small number of outside services that may receive limited information:

• FormSubmit delivers form submissions to our email. Your submission passes through their servers in transit.
• Google Maps is embedded on the contact page and may set cookies or collect usage data under Google's privacy policy when the map loads.
• Google Fonts serves typefaces; your browser requests them from Google's servers.
• Email and hosting providers process and store messages and website files on our behalf.

When you become a customer, we share shipment details with the carriers, warehouses, terminals, customs brokers and freight forwarders needed to move your freight. We share only what is required to perform the service.

Retention

We keep quote requests and correspondence as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business follow-up. Records related to completed shipments are kept as required by transportation regulations and our accounting obligations, generally three to seven years. Driver and carrier applications are kept for up to two years unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form data is transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing info@cvdistributions.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to keep certain shipment records where the law requires it. If you are a Maryland or other U.S. state resident with privacy rights under state law, you may exercise those rights through the same contact.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
