Terms of Service
Effective October 3, 2026. By using this website or requesting services from us, you agree to these terms.
1. Who these terms cover
These terms are between you and Rudeway Transport LLC, doing business as CV Distributions ("we", "us"), and govern your use of cvdistributions.com and the quote, contact and application forms on it. Transportation, brokerage, warehousing and related services are governed by the documents described in Section 3, which control if they conflict with these terms.
2. Website use
You may use this site to learn about our services and to contact us. You agree not to submit false information, interfere with the site's operation, scrape or copy its content for commercial use, or use the forms to send unsolicited messages. All text, graphics, logos and images on the site belong to us or our licensors and may not be reused without permission.
3. Quotes and service agreements
Information on this site, including service descriptions, coverage areas and response times, is general and not an offer. A quote we send you is an estimate based on the details you provide and is valid only for the period stated in it. Quotes may change if the freight, locations, dates, weight, equipment, accessorial needs, fuel costs or terminal conditions differ from what was described.
A shipment is accepted only when we issue a written rate confirmation, booking confirmation or similar document. Each shipment is then governed by that confirmation, our bill of lading or the applicable carrier's bill of lading, any warehouse receipt, and, for brokered freight, our broker-shipper agreement. Interstate motor carrier shipments are subject to federal law, including the Carmack Amendment (49 U.S.C. § 14706), which sets the rules for loss and damage claims. Ocean and air shipments are subject to the carrier's contract of carriage and applicable international conventions.
4. Your responsibilities as a shipper
- Provide accurate descriptions, weights, dimensions, piece counts, and hazardous materials declarations
- Properly package, label and secure freight for transport, or tell us if you need us to do so
- Ensure pickup and delivery locations are accessible and that any required appointments, permits or documents are in place, or ask us to arrange them
- Pay all charges, including accessorials such as waiting time, storage, demurrage, per-diem, chassis fees, permits, redelivery and layover, when they result from the shipment or from conditions outside our control
- For international freight, provide complete and accurate customs and export documentation
5. Liability
Our liability for loss or damage to freight is limited to what is stated in the governing bill of lading, rate confirmation, tariff, warehouse receipt or applicable law, and may be limited to a stated amount per pound or per shipment unless you declare a higher value and pay for additional coverage before pickup. Where we act as a broker, the motor carrier that transports the freight is responsible for cargo loss and damage under its own liability terms, and we will assist you in filing a claim. We are not liable for delay, or for indirect, consequential or special damages such as lost profits, except where the law does not allow that limitation. Claims must be filed in writing within the time stated in the governing document or applicable law, generally nine months for interstate motor carriage.
6. Website disclaimer
The website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate but do not guarantee that it is error-free or always available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties about the website and are not liable for damages arising from its use.
7. Payment
Unless a written credit agreement says otherwise, charges are due on the terms stated in the invoice. Past-due balances may accrue interest and collection costs as permitted by law. We may hold freight or documents until charges are paid where the law allows.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland and applicable federal law. Any dispute about the website or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Prince George's County, Maryland, unless the governing shipment document says otherwise.
9. Changes
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. The effective date shows the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
